For Parents

The one conversation the campus tour can't give them.

Admissions consultants charge hundreds an hour. Tour guides read from a script. For $50, your kid can ask a verified current student what a school is actually like, and you can be on the call.

How it works

Three steps, and you can drive all of them

Step 1

Pick a mentor together

Browse by school and major, read bios and reviews, or let our quiz suggest a match. You can book from your own account. Your student does not need one to attend.

Step 2

The mentor confirms

You pay at booking, but the mentor has to accept within 24 hours before anything is final. If they do not, the payment comes straight back.

Step 3

They talk. Really talk.

A 30 or 60 minute video call on the site. Dorms, workload, the social scene, what admissions was actually like. Feel free to sit in.

Trust & safety

What we check, in plain terms

No vague promises. Here is exactly what stands between a stranger on the internet and a session with your kid.

Verified current students

Every mentor proves enrollment through their school email, and a person reviews every application before it is approved. No anonymous strangers.

Payments held until the session happens

Checkout runs through Stripe, so card details never touch our servers. Mentors are not paid until after the session takes place.

Everything stays on the platform

Video calls and messaging are built in. Booking a session never requires sharing a phone number or social media account.

Public reviews on every profile

After each session, students can leave a rating and comment that is visible to everyone. Mentors build their reputation in the open.

Your money

If the session doesn't happen, you don't pay

Refunds are automatic, not a support ticket. The exact rules, straight from our terms:

Mentor never accepts

Bookings a mentor does not accept within 24 hours are cancelled and refunded in full, automatically.

Mentor no-show

If a mentor does not join a confirmed session, you are automatically refunded in full after the session end time.

Your plans change

Cancel more than 24 hours before the session for a full refund. Within 24 hours, the refund is the full amount minus a $5 late fee.

One flat price everywhere: $50 per hour, $25 per half hour, every mentor, no packages or subscriptions.

FAQ

Questions parents actually ask

Who are the mentors?

Current college students. Every mentor verifies enrollment through their school email address, and every application is reviewed and approved by our team before they can appear on the site.

How are mentors vetted?

Two ways: mentors must verify a working email address at their school, and a person reviews every application before approval. Sessions and messages stay on the platform, so no phone numbers or social accounts are needed to book or attend a session.

Can I sit in on the call?

Yes. Many families take the call together. You can also book and pay yourself and have your student attend. Nothing about the session requires the student to own the account.

What does it cost?

Every mentor charges the same rate: $50 for an hour or $25 for a half hour. There are no packages, subscriptions, or upsells.

What happens if the mentor cancels or does not show up?

You get an automatic full refund. If a mentor does not accept the booking within 24 hours, you are refunded in full. If a mentor does not join a confirmed session, you are refunded in full after the session end time.

Is this admissions counseling?

No. Sessions are personal conversations based on a mentor’s own experience at their school: campus life, workload, dorms, what admissions was like for them. It is not professional advising, and no outcome is ever promised.

What age is this for?

Users must be at least 16, and anyone under 18 needs parental consent. Most students book sessions while researching schools or deciding between acceptances.

Give them an hour with someone who lives it

Browse mentors by school, or take the two minute quiz and get matched to a student who has been where your kid wants to go.
